Susan Novotny is the owner and operator of Paisley Acres Farms who breeds and develops extraordinary Sport Horses. Susan started her career in Southern California under the Cowgirl Hall of Fame Wilma Tate. Where she showed the Quarter Horse Circuit and the Appaloosa Circuit. She then went on to train with Jimmy Williams and Mike Nielson on the Jumper Circuit in the 70’s. After graduating from Pacific Horse Center in the early 80’s with a Horse Mastership. She went on to the East Coast to train with the Hungarian Olympic Coach Major Bella Buttakay in Three Day Eventing and Major Hector Carmona in Dressage. Where she competed successfully to the Advanced Level and was long listed on the USET for Seoul. Susan had a bad rotational fall. When she got back into riding she decided to go into Hunter/Jumpers. Training under Joe Fargis and Ed Lane for several years. And spent some time in Ireland Fox Hunting and training for the Dublin Horse Show. She has now decided to produce Hunter Derby horses.
