His sire, Southern Pride, was an extremely successful Grand Prix horse with Karen Cudmore. Not only did he jump at the 1.60m level, he had a very long career and was still placing in Grand Prixs at the age of 22!
Rhosalina HTF is an Elite Hanoverian mare bred by Hilltop Farm. Her sire, Royal Prince, was Reserve Champion of his 30-day and 70-day Performance Tests, earning 10’s for his rideability and walk, and 9’s for trot, canter, and willingness to work. As a five-year-old, he won the East Coast Selection Trials for the World Championships for Young Horses with an unprecedented score of 9.82 and finished in fourth place at the World Championships (the highest American finish to-date). Damsire Parabol won his Stallion Performance Testing with an overall score of 140 points and almost equal marks for dressage and jumping. Parabol was titled Champion of Oldenburg as a 4-year old. In Germany, Parabol had a successful jumping career. Upon his importation to the US, Parabol switched to a dressage career. He earned the USDF Horse of the Year title at Third Level in his first year of dressage. He was short listed for the 1994 Pan American Team, long-listed by the USET for many years, and competed successfully up through Grand Prix until his retirement from sport in 1999. His offspring showed his versatility and were successful through Grand Prix dessage and also had significant success as hunters on the A circuit, including at Devon and WEF.
