Donnie Baseball LOF aka Matt* is a 2023 bright chestnut Premium Holsteiner colt with just the right amount of chrome to be noticed.

* (Named after my husband’s favorite baseball player, Don Mattingly who played 1st base for the New York Yankees 1982-1995)

Matt started his show career as a yearling in 2024 with a home run, placing 1st in the Yearling division at the Young Horse Show Series (YHSS) at High Point Hanoverians AND 1st of 15 in the Yearling division at the YHSS at Allforit! He also earned Reserve Champion Yearling at the Loch Moy “Bred to Event Classic”. He was recognized as the highest scoring Maryland Bred horse of the entire show!

At his first show in 2025, Matt was 2nd out of 18 2yo at the YHSS at Allforit in the at liberty 2yo class of 18 and 5th in the jump chute with 16 competitors. All scoresheets and videos are available.

By international dressage stallion Don Quichot (Quite Easy I/ Ramiro Z/ Alme) out of our premium Holsteiner mare Zamboni Babe MPT (Ciceras Icewater/Calando I/Lord Incipit). This boy was born to compete! Genetics and his ability in the jump chute say he’s destined to be an outstanding jumper, but look at that trot, it screams dressage. If he was a filly, he would be retained for my breeding program.

Very friendly, he wants to be the center of attention. Loves people, being groomed, and loved on. The German judges at his inspection commented on his outstanding conformation, powerful canter, and swinging walk.

He is expected to mature around 16.2. His easy going personality makes him a dream to work with. Stands for the farrier, loads on the trailer, is perfect for the vet, and is just a pleasure to be around! He is fully registered with the Holsteiner Verband, is microchipped, has a lifetime USEF number, and FEI passport.

He’s ready to move into your heart and barn, or he can be boarded here to grow up. Currently living here at Lead Off Farm in Friendship, MD. 45 min from either DC or Baltimore.
