2026 In Utero – True UL Eventing Potential

Description:
Very rare does a horse of this quality become available – this foal is truly destined for greatness.
Sire: EH Hirtentanz needs little introduction to those that know him. He has been extensively used in Germany and was imported to the US in 2015. In 2023 he was named Trakehner stallion of the year – the FIRST time this has ever been given to a stallion based outside of Europe. He is also the FIRST trakehner to be approved with the Holsteiner verband in over 50 years! He is the ONLY Trakehner stallion and one of 77 active breeding stallions worldwide from all breeds out of over 5000 with breeding indexes to have a positive index for ALL disciplines. He is the ONLY Trakehner with international offspring in all 4 disciplines (dressage, jumping, eventing and driving).
Noteable offspring of Hirtentanz include:
Jumping: ABENDTANZ (1.40m) ABENDTANZ (1.35m)
Dressage: HIRTENLIESEL (Grand Prix) FLYTHEW (Psg) DUERRENMATT (Psg) ZAUBERPRINZ 8 (Psg and 1.30m)
Eventing: ALLY KGO (CCI4*-L) PROMISING PETE TSF (CCI4*-S) CASSIO’S PICASSO KD (2019 USEF Eventing horse of the year and CCI3*-L) ISSELHOOK’S ASARO (CCI3*-L) SUNSPRITE KIRSCHBLUTE 3 (CCI3*-L)
Just to name a few. Proven genetics.
The dam – Azalea did unrecognized training level with AA until her potential as a broodmare was realized, and then she went to the breeding shed. She produced several foals already who are very promising and just starting their careers. Her sire, Windfall, is another who’s who in the name of eventing.
Windfall has emerged as the most prominent advanced level eventing stallion in the world. At the time of his retirement in 2009 he had earned enough USEA grading points (now called “award points”) from wins and placings that he was and still is the second highest scoring horse in the history of the sport in North America, behind only Winsome Adante. Indeed, his career highlight was the 2004 Olympics where he placed 12th individually and earned Team Bronze.
Noteable offspring of Windfall include Tsetserleg- who began his partnership with Boyd Martin in 2016. The duo moved up to the top levels of eventing, and in 2019, they were the Land/Rover USEF CCI5*-L Eventing National Champions at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian. Later that year, they won the team and individual gold medals at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
In 2020, Martin and Tsetserleg made their Olympic debut in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Additionally, they won the Buckeye Nutrition USEF CCI4*-L Eventing National Championship at the MARS Tryon International Three-Day Event. In 2021, the pair placed second in The Fork CCI4*-S.
Vandiver – also by Windfall – Vandiver and Doug Payne began their partnership in 2015 and steadily rose through the ranks of eventing. They collected their first international win at the 2018 Carolina International CCI4*-S.
In 2019, Payne and Vandiver finished fourth in the Carolina International CCI4*-S. They finished fifth overall and were the Land Rover/USEF CCI5*-L Eventing Reserve National Champions at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrianâ„¢.
In 2020, they placed second in the Stable View Oktoberfest CCI4*-S and fourth in the Buckeye Nutrition USEF CCI4*-L Eventing National Championship at the MARS Tryon International Three-Day Event.
In 2021, Payne and Vandiver won The Fork CCI4*-S. Then, they collected a 12th-place finish in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian CCI5*-L.
